The leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may not have many specifications updates, but instead of focusing on cameras and batteries this year, Samsung could prioritize privacy tools in its next flagship line.
The first of these tools, called ‘Privacy screen’, can be automatically activated when certain conditions are met, such as when using sensitive applications or when it is in areas full of people, and once enabled, it would make it difficult for people to see their screen.
This feature was apparently found by X User @Achultra (through GSMARENA) in a code UI 8.5, that is, the characteristic is not active in the current UI 8.5 test, but the relevant configuration screens can apparently be found if deepening enough in the code.

It is not clear in the previous screenshots exactly how this privacy at the next level would be achieved, but we have previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could control the pixels so that the screen is less visible at certain angles, similar to what it can already achieve with the privacy screen protectors, but without having to apply one of which the phone, or have to act for the time.
It is worth noting that screenshots in this last filtration have several typographic errors, which makes us ask ourselves if they are actually genuine, but since this is not the first time we listen to such a characteristic, it can arrive in any way. Hopefully it is, because this could be a really very useful software trick to avoid fisoteros in public transport.
Protect your privacy in shared images
And this is not the only privacy feature that could reach the Samsung Galaxy S26 ultra, such as Sammobile has seen a characteristic called ‘Privacy Protection’ in an UI 8.5.
This tool can automatically blur or eliminate confidential information from the images you share. So, for example, if you share a photo of your driver or passport license, you can choose to have any element that you don’t want to share blank.
This is not really a totally new feature, as Sammobile points out, but so far it is only available in China. However, with a user interface 8.5, which is not expected to be launched before 2026, apparently it is being implemented more widely.
It is likely that this privacy protection function works more than the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, but the privacy screen function is exclusive to the next Samsung flagship. At least, it will probably not work on existing phones, since it is likely to need a new hardware, while the blurred content in the images can be achieved only with the software.
