The selection of the president of Justice is disappointing, says PTI Hamid Khan leader

The leader and senator Hamid Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has expressed discontent about the appointment of the president of the Supreme Court, stating that its president of Justice elected is Judge Mansoor Ali Shah. He also accused certain people within the Supreme Court of standing with the establishment.

The comments were made during the Law Convention held at the Lahore Bar Association. The Convention was organized under the issue “Impact of the 26th amendment on the Judicial”.

Several prominent legal figures attended the event, including Senator Hamid Khan, the president of the Bar Association of the Superior Court of Lahore, Asad Manzoor Butt, and the president of Lahore Bar, Mubashar Rehman. The former presidents of the Bar Association of the Superior Court Ahmed Owais, Shafqat Chauhan and Ishtiaq to Khan, along with former Vice President Rabbiya Bajwa and other legal experts throughout the country, also participated.

Movement against the 26th amendment

Addressing the Convention, the leader of PTI, Hamid Khan, declared that the movement of lawyers against the 26th amendment had begun and finally annulled the amendment. He stressed that his fight was gaining impulse, and legal organizations had presented requests against the amendment, demanding that a complete bank of 16 judges listen to the case.

He criticized the Supreme Court, stating that certain people within the Judiciary were supporting the establishment. “The acceptance of the president of the position has disappointed us greatly. For us, Judge Mansoor Ali Shah is the legitimate president of Justice, ”he said. He also promised to resist any attempt to fill the Supreme Court with politically motivated appointments.

Hamid Khan also argued that amendment 26 was approved without adequate parliamentary consciousness. “This is not a parliament; It is simply a game of numbers. Even the Prime Minister and the Minister of Law were unaware of the details of the amendment. This is a government formed through form 47, ”he said, referring to the alleged electoral irregularities.

He accused the president of the Supreme Court Qazi Falez Isa of allowing horses and defended the decision by virtue of article 63-A, claiming that he was completely justified. He also revealed that the day of the approval of the amendment, a senator had been brought while submitted to dialysis, and the son of another senator had supposedly been kidnapped to force her to vote.

Call the Independence of the Judiciary

PTI’s legal representative said the amendment was unconstitutional and that the current government was simply a puppet administration. “Everyone knows that we have been defeated. Negotiations with thieves are simply not possible, ”he said.

Meanwhile, the president of lawyers of INSAF, Ishtiaq A. Khan, also addressed the Convention, accusing a certain group of councils of colleges such as hostages and designating the judges of their election to establish control over the Judiciary. He asked the judges to take a position against the unconstitutional amendment.

In addition, he declared that lawyers would continue their movement until the illegitimate amendment was repealed. “We demand that the full court of the amendment before 26 listen to this case,” he concluded.

The Convention marked a strong position by the legal fraternity against the 26th amendment, which indicates more legal and political battles ahead.
