The Senate joins to reject India’s war hysteria

Islamabad:

The Senate joined on Tuesday by rejecting the Hysteria of War of India, promising to respond resolutely to any misfortune by New Delhi following the terrorist attack in Iiojk.

Vice -Prime Minister Ishaq Dar told the Upper House that after the incident of Pahalgam, both China and Turkiye have adopted an unequivocal position in support of Pakistan.

He added that Chinese Foreign Minister has secured the full support for Islamabad.

The session was chaired by the vice president of the Syedaal Senate Khan Nasir.

During the session, the senators of all political parties took a firm and united position on the tensions of Pakistan-India.

After the speeches of several senators, Vice Prime Minister and Chamber leader in the Senate, Ishaq Dar, informed the camera about diplomatic efforts made from the Incident of Pahalgam.

He informed that Pakistan has communicated with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, China, the United Kingdom, Kuwait, Bahrain and Hungary.

“We have informed these countries about the historical record of India and their current designs,” he said, adding that Turkiye and China have adopted a clear position in favor of Pakistan.

“Turkish Foreign Minister asked us how they could help, while Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs assured us of his support.”

Dar expressed suspicion that the Pahalgam incident may have been deliberately orchestrated as a pretext to discard existing agreements. “Pakistan has no participation in the Pahalgam incident,” he emphasized.

Representing the Federation, said that the Senate had shown a notable sense of unity. “It is a welcome step that all political parties in the Senate unanimously approved a joint resolution.”

He revealed that in a conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister, he had warned that if India contemplates any movement, “this time, the answer will be Tit for TAT.” “India has not provided any evidence. We are responsibly fulfilling our diplomatic duties,” he added.

Dar also stressed that India had written a letter citing “changed circumstances” as justification to suspend the swing of the Indo waters. “Shortly after organizing pulwama drama, they altered the constitutional state of Kashmir. Now they are trying to cause regional instability,” he said.

The National Security Committee has already declared that any attempt to block water would be treated as an act of war.

Regarding the UNSC statement on April 25, condemning the attack in Pahalgam, deputy PM said that Pakistan, as a member of the UNSC, had an objection to the language used in a press release after Pahalgam unanimously issued by the Council.

“On behalf of Pakistan, I presented two objections,” said Dar. “First, the condemnation of the Resistance Front (TRF); second, I demanded that the reference to Pahalgam expand to include ‘Jammu and Kashmir’ to reflect the Pakistan position.”

Subsequently, the Senate unanimously approved two bills with most votes, including the bill of the Convention of Biological Weapons and Toxins (Implementation), 2025 and the bill of the National Minority Commission, 2025.

Both bills were presented by the Federal Minister of Law and Justice Azami Nazir Tarar.

The implementation of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) in Pakistan through the proposed bill is a critical obligation under international non -proliferation credentials and the resolutions of the CSNU.

The bill of the National Minority Commission, 2025, aims to institutionalize the protection of minority rights in the country through the formation of a legal commission.
