The president of the Permanent Committee of Industries and Production of the Senate made a strong exception to the absence of the Secretary of Industries and Production, warning the action against him.
A meeting of the Committee chaired by Senator Even Abbas Bappi, expressed his discontent for the absence of the minister and the secretary.
Senator Danish Kumar pointed out that this was the second time that the secretary skipped the panel meeting, saying: “If you do not attend, I will leave the meeting.”
The president of the committee criticized the secretary, emphasizing that neither the minister nor the secretary had attended. He announced plans to write to the president of the Senate, urging the action against the secretary.
Expressing frustration, he commented that the 22 -grade officer showed little or no consideration for the committee. “We have the right to present a privilege motion against the secretary,” he said.
An official of the Ministry of Industries and Production informed the committee that the secretary attended an important meeting, so he could not be present.
In response, the president of the Committee questioned the secretary’s priorities, declaring: “What could be more important for this meeting? The members of the committee traveled from Karachi and Baluchistan to attend, however, the secretary, despite being in Islamabad , it didn’t appear. “
