Miranshah:
A one-week protest sitting against a deadly strike of Quadcopter in the Mir Ali area of the tribal district of the northern Waziristan of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa concluded Tuesday night after successful negotiations between protest leaders and government officials.
All the entry and exit points that had been blocked by the protesters have now been reopened.
The drone attack occurred last week in the hormuz area of Mir Ali, where a Quadcopter threw explosives in a residential house, killing four children of the same family and critically hurting their mother along with several other women.
The incident caused generalized indignation, with local members of tribes and rights activists who condemn him as a serious violation of human rights. The sitting of protest had persisted since the day of the strike.

The agreement includes a compensation package for the deceased, an investigation into the Hormuz incident, the immediate restoration of Internet services, the release of an old tribal detained and the replacement of a local security official.
When explaining the details of the agreement, Baitullah declared that a compensation package would be announced for the martyred families in the drone strike.
In addition, he pointed out that the law enforcement agencies would refrain from using drones, surveillance cameras or mortar shells in the local population in the future.
Secondly, an impartial committee will be constituted to carry out a transparent investigation into the Hormuz strike.
The local community has demanded representation in this committee to ensure that the facts were precisely disagree. Third, Internet services in the region will be restored immediately to allow access to information and support educational and commercial activity.
Fourth, tribal jirgas will be convened to solve the problems related to the liberation of the elderly Malik Akbar Khan, the withdrawal of the military personnel of the Mir Ali hospital and the lifting of the curfew.
Fifth, there has been a guarantee that drones attacks will not be carried out under the current command of the local security official. The protesters have warned that in case of any violation of these terms, all the operations of resources for the extraction of resources operating in Waziristan del Norte will close.
Local residents have described the result of negotiations as a “partial success”, emphasizing that they expect concrete actions instead of verbal guarantees.
