- Optoma presents a new portable projector with Triple Laser RGB technology
- The Photon Go is an ultra short shooting model with HD resolution
- Available from April, retail sale to £ 899 / € 999
The last ultra -short launch projector, The Photon Go, covers a large amount of technology in a very small (and portable) package. Could it be one of the best portable projectors this year?
The Photon Go is a new model that seeks to combine the image quality of the RGB Triple Laser projectors with the convenience of a portable beam on the march.
Thanks to its triple laser system, it is able to reproduce “red light, green and pure blue sources”, instead of filtering a light source, ensuring strong and precise colors and a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,500,000: 1.
As an UST model (Ultra Short Show), you can sit quite quite up to the wall or screen on which it is projecting, with the ability to project a 100 -inch image when it is less than 25 cm from the wall.
There is no 4K capacity here, unlike the other New Optoma projector, the UHZ68LV of 5,000 lumens. The Foton Go marries its RGB exit with HD / 1080P resolution, which helps maintain its price under the four -digit brand, although the color performance and convenience of its size should compensate for it.
Optoma tells us that the Foton Go is capable of 650 lumens of brightness, which is quite good for a portable projector, if it is well below the thousands of expected lumens of more static home film models.
Hot to go
However, a built -in battery and a compact design make this a projector that can also be put in a backpack or a suitcase with relative ease, as well as the Anker Capsule II Mini Projector or the Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen. That is useful, whether it is moving the projector between rooms, houses or camp sites on regular sometimes, and allows a wide variety of flexibility where and how its friends are entertained.
Meanwhile, the Google TV operating system allows access to more than 10,000 applications and transmission services, ensuring that its projector can interact with intelligent domestic controls and channel a range of almost uniform content to the wall of the living room.
In terms of ports, you will obtain an HDMI 2.0 input, a USB-C power connection and outputs for USB-A and S/PDIF. You can get a model from April 2025, for sale of £ 899 / € 999 (about $ 1,140 / AU $ 1,800). There is still no word in a launch in the US, but hopefully, it will continue, because this looks great for a minimalist entertainment room.
