Switchbot attracted a lot of attention and praise with the launch of the K10+, a robot vacuum the size of a pint for people who do not have a lot of space at home, but although Dinky’s bot can get into many corners and cracks, what is. I can’t clean your stairs or your sofa.
To avoid this, Switchbot has presented combo K10+ Pro, which takes the latest model of the mini robovac and packages in a light stick vacuum that adheres and automatically attributed to the same spring. This dock has won a long chimney extension for this purpose, and now it looks a bit like a futuristic pizza oven.
This robovac obtained a score highly in our Switchbot K10+ Pro review, and the manual vacuum is also decent. It promises many of the same characteristics that it would look for in the best wireless vacuum cleaners of today, including an advanced filtration system, a roller designed not to get tangled up with hair, a LIEVE design with liquor and detail tools to handle different cleaning tasks.
However, I am not completely sold in the new configuration. First, the stick vacuum binds to the back of the spring, which means that it cannot place the flush from the dock to the wall. This is perhaps to make sure that the bot can find its way back (you must place the dock with a clear space in front and the sides), but it means that it now has to have its spring sitting from the wall and removing more space in The room, if you want to accidentally avoid the stick vacuum through the wall while coupling it.
Nor am I convinced that you would be saving space compared to having a wireless vacuum spring mounted on the separate wall, the type you get with most Dyson vacuum cleaners. Of course, the two docks would be at separate points, but they would accumulate much more space than this combined effort.
If you ask why I am looking at space here, remember that the complete USP of Switchbot Robovac is that it is small. If you have space for a larger spring, you would simply buy a regular size robot vacuum and open a world of other options (here are the best PakGazette robot vacuum selections if you are looking for inspiration).
With a capacity of three liters, the cup of hidden dust on the dock is at least large enough to cope with a decent volume of dust, although it has lost a part of capacity compared to the standard K10+ Pro four liters.
If you are Sold in this idea, now is the time to buy, since there are discounts on the Switchbot K10+ Pro combo both in the United States and in the United Kingdom.
ANALYSIS: A car -efficient invasion?
Switchbot is not the only vacuum brand that offers such a configuration. Take the Combo Yeedi C12, for example, which also combines a stick vacuum (with additional mirror head) and full -size robovac, and comes with an absolute beast of a spring.
It is also part of an interesting trend for manual self-tender vacuum clezers. The most new and best shark vacuum cleaners have optional auto-vacios docks, for example. I see the appeal with the robot vacuum cleaners, because the containers on board are necessarily small, and the full point is to be a solution without hand. But if you are aspiring manually in the first place, it is not much more empty effort to the cup of dust yourself.
I have tried the Powerdetect shark, and although the automatic dock works well, it is bulky and not terribly attractive. Personally, I would choose to empty my own container for having the dock in my house, so I am interested in seeing if this growing trend takes off.
