The Virginia High School League (VHSL) announced on Monday that her Executive Committee voted to comply with her fulfillment of the executive order of President Donald Trump “to keep men out of women’s sports.”
Trump signed the executive order last Wednesday, fulfilling one of its main campaign promises to keep biological men out of women’s girls and sports.
The order was signed with national girls and women on Sports Day, which celebrates women athletes in women’s sports and those committed to providing equal access to sports for all women.

The VHSL, which governs the sports school sports in the state, will comply with the executive order immediately.
“The VHSL is an association that includes 318 member schools with more than 177,000 students who participate annually in sports and academic activities. VHSL is the governing body, and our member schools seek and trust VHSL for politics and guidance. That end, the VHSL will comply with the executive order, “said VHSL executive director John W. Haun, in a statement.
“Compliance will provide membership a clear and consistent direction.”
Trump signs ‘no men in the executive order of women’s sports’
The statement also noted that the VHSL Executive Committee ordered the personnel to immediately propose policy changes in the form of emergency legislation to comply with the executive order. The language will be adjusted soon in its policy manual.
“This does not have to be long. This is common sense,” Trump said before signing the order last week, adding that “women’s sports will be only for women.”
“The war against women’s sports is over,” he said.
Since Trump signed the Order, the NCAA has also officially prohibited trans athletes to participate in women’s sports. His announcement occurred one day after the firm, a quick response for the university government body.
“An athlete student assigned to a man at birth may not compete in a team of women,” says the new policy. Politics allows biological females to compete in male sports.
“The NCAA is an organization composed of 1,100 colleges and universities in the 50 states that collectively register more than 530,000 athletes,” said NCAA president Charlie Baker, in a statement. “We firmly believe that clear, consistent and uniform eligibility standards would better serve today’s athlete students instead of a mosaic of state laws and conflicting judicial decisions. For that purpose, President Trump’s order provides a clear national standard.”

Independent ambassadors Riley Gaines, Payton McNabb, Paula Scanlan, Sia Liilii, Lauren Miller, Kim Russell, Kaitlyn Wheeler, Linnea Saltz and Lily Mullens were present when Trump signed the executive order in the East Room of the White House.
Gaines, who houses the podcast “Gaines for Girls” of Outkick, was one of those fighting for justice in women’s sports after being Franco about his experience swimming against Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer who won the Women’s Championships of the NCAA In 2022.
The White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said in an informative session before Trump signed the executive order that “maintains the promise of title IX.”
“President Trump promised to restore common sense to our country, and he continues to comply with an executive order that will sign later today,” he added. “The President will sign an executive order, will keep men outside women’s sports to defend the security of athletes, protect competitive integrity and maintain the promise of title IX.”
Leavitt also asked the Senate to approve the Law on the Protection of Women and Girls, which the Chamber sent until last month. The bill would prohibit biological men from participating in girls’ school sports teams and at the same time amend the federal law to specify that athletes must participate in school sports that coincide with their birth genre.

Virginia voted blue in the presidential elections of 2024, with 52.1% of the votes going to former vice president Kamala Harris. Trump received 46.3% of the votes.
