Simone Ashley, famous for her role in Bridgerton series, made his debut producing with the last romantic comedy, Imagine this.
In an interview with People magazine, Simone revealed his love for the romantic comedies of the 90s inspired her for the film.
The actress said: “I loved all those classic romantic comedies of the 90s: anything with Julia Roberts, my best friend’s wedding, the other woman, 10 things that I hate of you, bend like Beckham, Bridget Jones. Of course, I am a romantic so desperate.”
“I think that romantic comedies allow people to have that space where you believe in the idea that love is possible. And that’s how I feel when I see them. Then, being part of that genre was really exciting for me,” Simone added.
It is worth mentioning that Simone also starred Imagine this, Interpret the character Pia while embarked on a trip to find love through five dates established by his friends and family.
Reflecting on his experience, Simone said: “It was also very fun. I think each project requires a different set of focus and attention in different areas. Therefore, it has been an incredible learning experience.”
“I move away from that and say: ‘Oh, I could have done more than this, or I could have done less of that.’ And you can take all that experience to the following,” he added.
