Frank Barrie, the best known actor for his role in EastendersHe has died at age 88, surrounded by loved ones at home.
His death was confirmed by his agency, Scott Marshall Partners, who issued a statement saying: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved client, Frank Barrie, at the age of 88. He died peacefully at home, with his wife Mary and his daughter Julia.”
The representation of Frank Barrie of Edward Bishop from 2010 to 2011 earned him a name in the industry.
However, his impressive career covered far beyond that iconic role. With more than 150 screen credits in his name, Barrie appeared in a wide range of shows, including Emergency neighborhood 10, Without hidingand Gently, gently.
As a versatile stage actor, he won the acclamation for his actions as Shakespeare, as well as in prominent roles in productions such as The black woman and Lunch with Marlene.
