Ben Lewis, better known for starring in The opera ghostHe died at the age of 46.

The actor died of intestine cancer on Monday, October 6. Ben’s friend and Australian television presenter Todd Woodbridge also confirmed the death of the star in his social media account.

“Today we lost Ben Lewis, one of my families, the most beloved friends to young people and the Australian musical theater family also lost one of the greats!” Said Todd.

In addition, he wrote: “Ben was a star on stage when Phantom in Love Never dies and in the opera ghost in the West End. More importantly, he was one of the great humans, fun, attentive and a wonderful mentor for all the people he works with.”

“So many good memories of the holidays together in Scotland, visiting the changing rooms of the Teatro de His Majesty in London to the times spent in Wimbledon … and our last photo together at the end of June in our house … sending our love to the whole family tonight,” added the television presenter.

For not versed, Ben was diagnosed with intestine cancer in February last year.

Throughout his career as an actor, Ben appeared in many shows on stage, including The opera ghost, Urinetown, a small night music, and Priscilla, desert queen.
