Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive have announced a new collaboration with British jewelry designer Hannah Martin to create a collection of conceptual digital pieces inspired by Clair Oscur: Expedition 33.
Inspired by the era of beauty Belle Époque of French and European history and bold brutalism, these digital designs were inspired by the main characters of Clair OscurGustave, Lune, Sciel, Maelle and verse, and made with gold of gold and black obsidian to Jet to reflect the interpretation of Martin of the aesthetics of Expedition 33.
Sandfall Interactive developers took Martin’s designs and intricately modeled in Unreal Engine 5 to create a series of images in the engine “that completely combine digital and physical worlds together with incredibly bold art.” You can see them below.
These are only digital conceptual designs, but I would love that the jewelry collection is available in the game as downloadable content (DLC).
“This collaboration has been incredible,” Martin said in a press release. “It is a totally new territory for me, and I loved being able to explore and overcome the boundaries between reality and unreality. It has been a constant dance between the real world and fantasy.”
In addition, Martin also continued and created 33 sterling silver necklaces of real life inspired by the design that represents the verse. Unfortunately, these pieces are not for sale and were created as a celebration of the game in a limited amount as a “thanks” to the members and artists of the community who have supported the game and its creation.
In Techradar Gaming’s Clair Oscur: Expedition 33 Review, the managing editor Rob Dwiar said that the game is “easily a contender to the early game of the year” and praised his “exquisite writing and crafts of history” and “combat wonderfully elegant and multifaceted.”
