The Superior Court of Islamabad rejects bond in the burning case of Kirpa’s wife

The Superior Court of Islamabad on Tuesday rejected the affection of the arrest presented by Adil Mehmood, who is accused of burning his wife in the Kirpa area of ​​the Federal Capital.

A single member bank, headed by Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, heard Mehmood’s plea during which the victim was presented to the court, the death of Sania Bibi.

Sania, a mother of three children, accused her husband Mehmood and her father Mustab Hussain to put her on fire after a heated discussion. Sania’s testimony was recorded while under treatment at Pims Hospital Islamabad. Based on the dying statement, Sania and her husband were in the midst of a discussion when Mehmood dragged her into the house and Hussain spray her gas. The two lit it.

According to Sania’s testimony, she kept screaming for help, but none came. It was two hours after he received medical attention. Sania also accused Mehmood and Hussain of pressing her to lie and claimed that she was injured in an explosion of gas cylinder while heading to the hospital.

His jewelry was taken at the hospital and his assistants, the perpetrators, denied their water until a doctor closed. In addition, Mehmood and Hussain warned him not to inform his brothers or face more damage, Sania testified, adding that the safety of their children was also threatened.

A case was presented at the Kirpa police station on June 9, 2025, after the statement of Sania was recorded.

Both Mehmood and Hussain were taken to the Adiala prison, where they remain imprisoned. Sania succumbed to her wounds after almost a month of treatment at the Pims Hospital.

IHC dismissed the subsequent bail statement presented by Mehmood through his lawyer, defending the decision of the district and the session court, which had previously denied the bond.
