LAHORE:
The Superior Court of Lahore (LHC) accepted on Tuesday the prosecutor’s request to grant the opportunity to present an answer regarding the bail templates presented by Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Ijaz Chaudhry, in four cases registered against him on the disturbances of May 9.
The court postponed the hearing of bail requests until Thursday.
A bank of the LHC division headed by Judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi heard bail requests.
The Prosecutor’s Office sought time to present the response to the court.
The Ijaz Chaudhry petitioner held his bail request that it had nothing to do with level accusations in the first information reports (FIRS).
He claimed that he had been involved in falsified and frivolous cases that were politically motivated.
He said there was nothing available in the registry to establish his link with the offenses portrayed in the FIR.
He asked the court to grant bail.
