A young psychologist was shot and injured during an attempt to rob near Hill Park in Shaheed-E-Millat Road on Tuesday morning, police said.
The victim, Syed Shaheer Javed, 27, was intercepted by armed assailants on the service adjacent to the Bagh-O-Bahar marriage hall. Police said the suspects opened fire when the victim resisted, hurting him before fleeing the scene with his newly bought motorcycle.
Shaheer is the son of Javed Saba, a prominent senior poet and screenwriter of the Express News program – Shabbir A Dekhe Ga.
According to the researchers, the victim, a resident of Phase VI of defense, had just dropped his nephew in a school located within the limits of the Baloch colony police and was on his way to a private hospital in Stadium Road, where he works as a psychologist. Family sources said he had bought the new motorcycle only three days ago.

Initially he was taken to a nearby medical center for emergency care and then moved to a private hospital in Stadium Road. Doctors said their condition was stable and that it is out of danger.
Upon receiving information, Sho Ferozabad Tariq Mehmood reached the scene along with a police contingent and summoned the unit of the crime scene for its collection of evidence. A worn bullet housing, found at the site of the incident, has been sent for a forensic exam.
According to the Sho, the suspects, created to be three to four and mount two motorcycles, separated into Manzoor Col Col Col Col Col Col Col Col Col Col Col Colster. CCTV images of the surrounding area are being reviewed as part of the investigation.
Police are making efforts to identify and arrest the culprits.
