Karachi:

The Mai Kolachi road has not reopened traffic more than 18 hours after a trailer and an oil tanker crashed into a cargo train at the crossroads of the non -manned railroad. The long tails of heavy vehicles extend in Mai Kochi Road as traffic deviates to alternative routes, while police and rail authorities have not been able to give the whole clear.

The strange accident, which took place in the early hours of Friday, has triggered a row between the Association of Petroleum Petroleum Contractors and the railway authorities. The SP traffic for the West Noorul Haq district paid to the railroads, saying that there was a lot of traffic in Mai Kolachi Road from 11 pm to 6 am at the time of the accident.

According to SP Rind, the oil tanker, which transported 48,000 liters of gasoline, was transferred to another tank truck at 8.30 am, and the road closed to avoid more adverse incidents.

Then he added that Mai Kolachi Road does not have a manned railway crossing, while there was no early warning to the Transit Police with respect to the passage of the cargo train. “There were no railway personnel present at the site at the time of the accident,” he added.

On the other hand, the railway authorities affirmed that the load trains do not pass through the crossing of the Mai Kolachi road every day, and that the trains arrive only occasionally when the products are transported from the port.

The Oil Bailer oil contractor association criticized the railroads for the accident, noting that the lack of a crossroads and the railway personnel led to the disaster. The president of the association, Abidullah Afridi, said that the oil driver, who lost a leg in the collision, was a victim of circumstances beyond his control. He requested financial compensation for the injured driver and his family, adding that a FIR will be registered against the railway administration.

Meanwhile, the Superintendent of the Kaemari Shahbaz Zaidi railway station said the accident investigations were ongoing. Daily charge trains go through the Mai Koachi Road area, but the absence of railway personnel during the incident will be clarified only after the investigation.

According to the spokesman of the 1915 installation line, the traffic has been restored on the road from the tower to the ship basin, and the efforts are ongoing to reopen the path of the ship basin to the tower.

Although the truckers and the police blame the railroads for not placing a door, the question remains why the driver of the truck did not see the next locomotive. A train is not a bicycle that trucks can crush and pass.

In their haste, they tried to run the train, but they were trapped in the middle of the roads causing a colossal loss to the federal government. According to the law, the truck company and the driver will be responsible for interrupting rail traffic and causing losses to the national treasure.
