A representative of the Trump family held conversations to buy a participation in the American Binance arm, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday.
Participation could have been acquired through the Crypto World Liberty Financial project of the Trump family, according to the report, citing people familiar with the matter.
Steve Witkoff, a friend of the president of the United States, was involved in the agreement conversations, added the report.
The conversations began last year after Binance contacted Trump’s allies that offer an agreement with the family to bring the exchange of return cryptography to the United States.
Binance, this does not respond to a request for comments at the time of publication.
