- 95% of new vehicles must have connectivity functions for 2030
- Automobile manufacturers like BMW and Mini are offering ESIM capabilities
- Ubigi has reduced ESIM prices in seven high -demand European countries
The Esim market is changing rapidly, and it is expected that the supply of Esim travel will rise from 70 million to 280 million. An emerging key trend is the increase in the work of connected cars, since more consumers are willing to convert their vehicles into mobile offices.
McKinsey informs that by 2030, 95% of new vehicles sold will be connected, with great opportunities for ESIM suppliers to deliver corporate mobility solutions.
Ubigi, launched by Transatel, is already taking advantage of this change. In June 2025, the ESIM brand was associated with Mini to offer built -in UBIGI connectivity. With this in progress, prices have also reduced in seven European countries to make car connectivity even more accessible.
“As part of our deep integration into the ESIM ecosystem, we design custom -made customers for each manufacturer, while we offer a single International ESIM solution that works consistently in all markets,” says Jacques Bonifay, CEO of Transatel/Ubigi.
What does this mean for ESIM suppliers?
ESIM suppliers have a growing opportunity to take advantage of the vehicle connectivity market. Ubigi’s research shows that 40% of customers already use their ESIM for professional purposes, which underlines the demand for stable and high quality in the car.
To meet these needs, ESIM suppliers will have to work in close collaboration with manufacturers to create service quality and also address challenges such as cross -border roaming, customer incorporation and long -term flexibility of the plan.
“In the case of Ubigi Esim integrated into vehicles, an additional advantage lies in the direct use of the vehicle antenna. This guarantees a better reception than an independent smartphone, whose signal can be weakened by the effect of the cabin cage,” Bonifay explains.
Offers focused on Ubigi’s business also highlight what is possible. “What stands out for Ubigi for businesses are advanced security characteristics that go beyond private use. This includes Operator Degree VPN; all traffic is redirect to the server or cloud of the company, without passing on the public internet, guaranteeing confidentiality and control,” adds Bonifay.
In general, consumers seek reliable and safe connectivity, and ESIM suppliers have the opportunity to develop associations with car manufacturers, creating flexible business and leisure plans and building a robust customer service.
“Looking towards the future, we are currently in conversations with several other manufacturers for future implementations, which remain confidential at this stage, but Transatel intends to become the global reference of connected cars,” Bonifay concluded.
