CBS presenter Jon Wertheim asked White to respond to fans who have felt that UFC has “taken a side” when it came to politics.
“I am an American citizen. Biden was my president. Trump is my president,” White said. “He was at the inauguration and sitting behind all the former presidents and this was spinning like ‘Dana Mad-Dogging president, Obama’. President Obama turned around, the only president who did, and shook my hand and said:” Congratulations for all his success. “And I said: ‘Thank you very much President’.

The CEO of UFC, Dana White, asks for unity, normality after the murder of Charlie Kirk
“That is what happened. I never talked about it publicly. If President Obama called and said: ‘Hey, I would like to come to see a fight.’ It would be like, ‘Yes, buy some tickets and good luck’ or whatever, the president or former president of the United States wants to come to his event, you treat them with respect.”
White has been rooted in the political scene since Trump disturbed during his first campaign in 2016. Since then, the UFC head has been seen in the Republican National Convention and other demonstrations that have presented Trump.
