According to the reports, the University soccer playoff is experiencing a slight change of image.
The playoff made an important change of four to 12 teams last season, which brought some defects.
Last season, the four best classified conference champions had automatic goodbye and received the first four seeds. This year, the playoff group will be filled with straight planting, with five places still reserved for the conference champions, according to ESPN.

“After evaluating the first year of the 12 -team playoffs, the CFP management committee felt it was the best for the game to make this adjustment,” said CFP executive director Rich Clark, in a statement. “This change will continue to allow guaranteed access to the playoff by rewarding the teams to win their conference championship, but it will also allow us to build a postseason support that recognizes the best performance in the field throughout the regular season.”
If the new format was put last year, Oregon, Georgia, Texas and Penn State would have had a ruthless weeks. Instead, Texas and Penn State had to play in the first round and won convincingly. The Longhorns beat No. 12 Clemsson (15th in the country), 38-24, and then defeated No. 4 sown with Arizona State, who had a goodbye such as winner Big 12, but occupied the 11th place in the country, in the extra time.
