The university soccer player William Hardrick dead at age 22

William Hardrick, a university football defensive who previously played in the state of Mississippi and Miami (Ohio) before transferring to Austin Peay, died. He was 22 years old.

Austin Peay University announced Hardrick’s death on Wednesday.

Hardrick was killed in a car accident in Alabama near Interestatal 65, said Limestone Mike West to Whnt-TV county.

John Walter Mcadams was arrested in the accident and was accused of murder and two positions to leave the scene of an accident with an injury and DUI. The Alabama Law Application Agency was investigating the accident.

Mcadams supposedly drove a semitractor trailer.

“We are really sad for the death of William Hardrick, a new member of our football and family program Austin Peay,” said Austin Peey athletics director Gerald Harrison, in a statement. “All our thoughts and prayers are with the Hardrick family today. We will do everything possible to support their friends, family and teammates at this time.”

The chief coach of the governors, Jeff Faris, called Hardrick an “exceptional young man.”

“Our team is disconsolate for its loss,” Faris added. “He made everyone around him better and have had a real impact both inside and outside the field. We lift the Hardrick family in prayer while we cry this tragic loss with them.”

Hardrick went to High School in Adamsville, Alabama, before committing to the state of Mississippi. He played for the Bulldogs during the 2022 season and spent two seasons with Miami.

He played in 18 games for the Redhawks and had 32 cups in total.
