Srinagar:
Pakistan on Monday informed the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) of the prevailing tensions in southern Asia after the murder of 26 people in the Pahalgama Tourist Complex of Jammu and Indian Kashmir.
The UNSC entered an emergency session at the Chamber at the request of Pakistan and received an informative session from the permanent representative ambassador of Pakistan Ali Iftikhar.
The meeting attended the 15 members, including the powers of five permanent veins.
“Pakistan thanks UNSC members for their attention and commitment,” said Iphikhar ambassador to journalists, while informing the media.
He described the issue of Kashmiro as a long data dispute between Pakistan and India, saying that he has been persistent since the last 70 years.
He expressed strong reservations on the recent unilateral actions of India and said that Pakistan had increased an effective voice against Indian actions in the Security Council.
“Pakistan is always ready to defend his sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said.
Impassador Iphtikhar expressed reservations about the unilateral suspension of India of the Indo Water Treaty (IWT), qualifying it as a violation of international law.
He condemned atrocities of the Indian forces in Iiojk and said that the oppression and persecution of unarmed and innocent assholes continued incessantly.
On Pahalgam’s attack, the Pakistani delegate condemned the incident and made it clear that Pakistan had nothing to do with that. “Pakistan is ready to cooperate completely in a transparent, independent and international investigation into the incident,” he added.
He stressed that sustainable peace in southern Asia was not possible without the resolution of the problem of Kashmir and urged that the solution to this problem should be in accordance with the aspirations of the People of Cashmiro.
“The Kashmir dispute cannot be resolved without the participation of the People of Kashmir.”
The Pakistani delegate said that India’s actions raised serious threats to the peace and security of the region, and emphasized that conversations were the only form of peace.
“Pakistan is always ready for conversations based on mutual respect, dignity and sovereignty.
