ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Software Companies Association (P@SHA) said on Saturday that the use of technology in the agricultural sector could generate $10 billion annually by increasing agricultural production by 30% and reducing crop losses by 75%.
P@SHA published a report on Agri-Tech. According to the report, cooperation between universities, the private sector and international experts should be promoted to increase productivity. He suggested that farmers should be connected to digital platforms improving internet access in rural areas.
He also suggested investments in cold storage and transportation networks.
