- According to reports, the valve is increasing facial interface production
- These pieces are essential for virtual reality wearables, suggesting that Valve Deckard will arrive soon
- Valve’s movement could also be mocking future VR headphones beyond Deckard
Almost six years since the launch of the Smash Hit Valve Index, it seems that the Steam team is preparing to start making the long -awaited independent sequel according to the new rumors.
Initially, it was believed that the headset with the name of the valve valve in leaks had a launch date of 2025 finals of 2025, but the details were few and distant, which suggests that it could slide later.
However, the new details of Sadlyitsbradley, a source of several virtual reality hardware leaks in the past, suggest that Valve could be vaporizing with production, since the company has been importing the necessary equipment to make facial interfaces of VR headphones.
In a subsequent publication, Sadleyitsbradley said that Valve has been receiving facial interface shipments since last year, suggesting that this new team may not only be to produce Dickard interfaces, but prototype designs for its next VR headphones.
Alternatively, this could be an attempt of Valve to avoid some of the greatest tariff costs with which US President Donald Trump has recently been passing.
FWIW, Valve also received shipments from new facial interface paletteApril 10, 2025
It is true that facial interfaces do not tell us much about the headphones themselves, but since they are only used for devices such as VR headphones and not anything else in Valve hardware alignment (like a steam cover), Valve invest in its production suggests that it has plans to make a new VR headset.
And since the valve index supposedly came out of production at some point last year (through Sadlyitsbradyy, again) it is unlikely that these interfaces are for their existing technology.
Beyond this last rumor, other leaks are causing something special, and it is said that Deckard is not only an independent headset (such as Quest 3) but also a portable steam platform that you can use to play flat games.
Just prepare to be expensive. We are talking about around $ 1,200 (around £ 950 / au $ 1,950), although this would include some games in a package.
This is not as cheap as a Quest 3 goal, but with the incredible Steam software support, the Valve Deckard could be a saving for our best VR headphones list.
It is worth remembering that all leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt, but with Valve Deckard it seems that where there is smoke there is probably fire.
We will only have to wait and see if that is the case while we pass through 2025 and the rumored date of the release of Deckard is approaching. If Deckard is announced, we may be ready to keep it up to all what you need to know.
