LAHORE:
The visit of KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur a Punjab was mainly aimed at gathering the support of the PTI de KP Senate Ticket, Mirza Muhammad Afridi, a candidate who, according to the reports, faces internal accusations of ensuring their ticket by unfair means.
A well -located PTI source, which spoke with the Express PAkGazette, said that the nature of the convoy PTI, directed by CM Gandapur to Aphridi’s residence, seemed “extraordinary.”
He said the event gave the impression that the “powers that would be” had made an exception for this rally, but subsequent developments suggested a more complex image. The dinner of the Parliamentary Party on the Afridi farm revealed the true purpose of the visit, to know, to gather the support of the MPA of the party in favor of Aphridi.
He pointed out that within PTI, there are two opinions on the award of the ticket, with the dominant opinion that a dirty game involved.
The luxurious restaurant arrangements and accommodation expressed concerns within the party. Aphridi is accused of bribing a Senate nomination, supposedly on the side of a faithful worker of the party, who according to the source has been nominated for the portfolio of the Information Secretary of the KP party. It was also alleged that the provincial government led by Gandapur completely supported Afridi. The problem will deal with Imran Khan at Tuesday’s meeting, with an effort to reverse the decision.
In statements to the Express PAkGazette, the OPP leader, Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachaha, said the event was organized by the CM of KP and the provincial government.
However, he rejected the impression that the police extended a “red carpet” to the convoy. “The convoy, led by a main minister and members of the cabinet, had the right to police security. There were arrests and baton charges against our workers … so the suggestion that the event enjoyed the blessings of the establishment is incorrect, at least in this regard.”
KP Information Minister BarrĂster Saif was contacted for comments, but was not available.
