The White House responds to the transgender volleyball investigation of the state of San José

A White House spokesman has provided an exclusive statement that addresses the recent digital reports of Pak Gazette about third -party investigation into accusations of misconduct against the former volleyball player of the state of San José, Blaire Fleming.

The administration of President Donald Trump launched the investigation of Title IX on SJSU in February, and previously referred to the situation during the 2024 volleyball season while campaigning for the November elections. “Recently, we were notified that the United States Department of Education has initiated a directed investigation related to Title IX in the light of the executive order of President Trump regarding the participation of athletics. As with any federal investigation, we will completely involve the process, we will follow the established procedures and continue transparent in our compliance with all the applicable laws.

“While we adhere to the legal and regulatory requirements, the State of San José will continue to act within our authority to defend the values ​​that define us as an institution. Our approach remains in our values, including the promotion of an environment that cultivates compassion, where each student has the opportunity to prosper. We remain firm in our place as a place of learning, respect and opportunities for all.”

Heaphy contacted the lawyer of the State University of San José, Dustin May on February 6 after the Trump administration launched the Research on SJSU About Fleming’s situation.

“I saw an ESPN report that the Department of Education has opened an investigation from the San José State University about the participation of a transgender volleyball player. I am familiar with those facts of my work for you and the Mountain West conference last fall,” Heaphy wrote to May in an email on February 6, as seen in the public records obtained by Pak Gazette Digital.

“I also work a lot in OCR investigations with the ED department, including a great resolution of a subject of title VI that I recently resolved with that office for the University of Washington. If you are looking for an external lawyer to get involved with the department in this matter, I was glad to help.”

May responded on February 18, rejecting Heaphy’s offer.

Heaphy replied the next day, writing: “Please, let me know if we can help in some way or other problems.”

Pak Gazette Digital previously communicated with Mountain West, Willkie Farr and Gallagher, the State University of San José and his chief volleyball coach Todd Kress with respect to his previous findings. Those parts have not provided any response.

May’s office initially responded to the request for comments from Pak Gazette Digital after providing public records, requesting a list of questions and background information before speaking.
