The Rangers of Wildlife of Punjab took a white tiger on Tuesday and an African lion puppy in Faisalabad as part of a continuous repression against the illegal possession of dangerous wild animals.
The vice president of Wildlife Chief Dr. Ghulam Rasool confirmed that the operation was carried out by the Faisalabad unit after a warning. Animals, both rare and exotic species, without the required legal permits.
The white tiger rescued has been transferred to the Lahore Safari Zoo, while the lion puppy is being transferred to a safe installation. Legal procedures have been initiated under the Wildlife Law of Punjab against those involved in illegal possession.

The authorities confirmed that more than 20 lions, tigers and leopards have been recovered from several cities in Punjab since the repression began. These animals have been relocated in safe locations for adequate attention.
The officials of the Punjab Wildlife Department confiscated 18 lions from several cities throughout the province. The officials arrested five people in relation to the illegal possession of these animals, registered five FIR and launched investigations in two additional cases.
Previously, the Punjab government has announced new regulations to enclose the sterilization of lions, tigers, leopards and other great cats. As part of a stages regulatory initiative, the Government will also introduce a prohibition of commercial sale and the purchase of these species.
Talking with The express trusteeThe main wildlife rangers of Punjab, Mubeen Elahi, said that, for the first time, the province is implementing a regulatory framework to govern the private property of large cats.
The owners received the deadline of May 2 to declare their animals. From now on, 180 registered wildlife farms have declared their actions, with the current verification. To date, 40 of these facilities have been verified.
