- Windows 11 24h2 PC now have an optional update (preview).
- It offers exclusive functions for co -pilot+ PC and other sweets for all devices

Windows 11 24h2 has an optional new update that, in addition to sending retired live in co -pilot+ PCs, also has some non -Ai PCs, including an important resolution of an error that causes blue screen locks. However, I would wait for your time before grabbing this, for reasons that I will return shortly.
Like the latest Windows reports, the previous view update for 24h2 that has just published that completely addresses the problem with the blue screen of the death screen (BSOD) that worried some Windows 11 users 11. These incidents were stopping the PCs to a stop with cryptic error messages of one type or another (such as ‘Safe nucleus error’ or ‘critical process died’).
Now, you can remember that Microsoft implemented an emergency solution to resolve this matter already, so it is possible to ask: don’t heal these Bsod? Well, yes, he did, but that was achieved by reversing a problematic change applied in the cumulative update of April (the complete launch for this month, instead of this newly arrived optional update).
What has come with this new optional update is the complete solution for the problem, so any change that was previously made that was backward, Microsoft did not tell us what it was, by the way, now it has been placed again in its place, except the bsods of the annoying ones (well, with luck).
In another part of this optional patch, Microsoft has provided faster compressed file extraction, so when you take out the content of a zipper on Windows 11, these files are unpacked a little faster (as detected in the tests previously). This is when the built -in Windows 11 ZIP functionality is used in File Explorer (the folders with which it works on the desktop).
In addition to the exclusive Copilot+ PC, another remarkable end point is that the side panel in the start menu for the telephone link application is now being implemented on all PCs with Windows 11 with this update. This provides all the key functionality to integrate important characteristics of smartphones, for your Android or iPhone device, just there in the start menu by convenience.
However, as you are currently implementing, you may have to wait a time for you to arrive yet, even if you install this optional update.
Analysis: more reasons to divert this optional update than normal
That is the key question, of course: do you want to install this update? I generally advise people to avoid pre -view updates, and this is not different, particularly since if the blue screen locks were what bothered them on the previous one (accumulated update) for April, they have also been temporarily mitigated anyway.
I would suggest that anything that had to be reinvested to avoid BSOD is something without what you can probably live until May 13, which is when this optional patch will become the complete accumulated update for May. That means that more will have been tried, so if there are wrinkles in the Bsod cure, they should have straightened at that time.
Of course, if you are still experiencing blue screen blockages with your Windows 11 24h2 machine, which means that Microsoft reversals mitigate did not work for you, in that case, it is likely that it is worth obtaining this optional update.
Otherwise, I would leave it, since you can always expect faster deactivation speeds, and the addition of the telephone link to the start menu is in its very early deployment phase anyway, so it is possible that you do not get it for a while, even if you install this pre -view update.
Copilot+ PC owners can be much more tempted to download this optional update, mind, since they are getting a lot from it. Namely, the complete arrival of the Kingpin AI function, the retirement, complemented with click to do, and in addition to that, possibly the most important addition, an improved basic search functionality for Windows 11.
In spite of that, these are complex characteristics, withdrawn in particular, and as such, I would still be inclined to wait for the full official update to appear in mid -May instead of chance now. Although I must keep in mind that even that full version, the retirement will still be labeled as in ‘Prior View’ (but that search for turbocharged natural language for Windows 11 will not be).
