- Withings has presented its Body Scan 2 smart scale at CES 2026
- The device measures more than 60 biomarkers to predict your future health
- It also has built-in AI and personalized wellness prompts.
Do you think that the best smart scales only serve to measure your weight and give you a couple of useful tips? That’s not what Withings wants you to believe, calling its new Body Scan 2 device, unveiled this week at CES 2026, “the world’s first science-backed longevity station.”
That all sounds pretty great for a smart scale, so what has prompted the apparent update? According to Withings, it all comes down to a few things: the inclusion of more than 60 different biomarkers for your health, plus custom artificial intelligence (AI) integrations that give you personalized, actionable advice. The idea is that they will help you improve your health in the long term, hence the nickname “longevity station.”
In addition to its software, the Body Scan 2 has a set of eight electrodes on the base and another four on its retractable handle. There’s an LCD screen that shows the scan results, plus two buttons to answer personalized questions related to your health. Inside is a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 15 months on a single charge.
The Body Scan 2 begins by offering a “90-second multimodal longevity assessment” that scans several metrics, including heart pumping performance and electrical activity, hypertension risk, arterial health, cellular health and metabolic efficiency, and glycemic regulation. Withings says these tests have been chosen for their “predictive value on long-term health,” so taking action could help improve your long-term health.
Once this scan has been completed, the device seeks to find reversible deviations from your health baselines. After that, it gives you practical steps to address problems and increase your well-being. That includes a Health Trajectory score, which Withings says “gives a clear view of long-term health” and aims to motivate you by showing you how the changes you make now could improve your prospects for the future.
Withings and Wyze
The Withings Body Scan 2 follows shortly after the similarly named Wyze BodyScan scale, which also came with a built-in handle for measuring additional health metrics.
However, at $599.95 (around £445/AU$895), the Withings offering costs significantly more than the $119.98 Wyze scale. At the same time, it comes with more built-in electrodes, can measure many more metrics, and comes with AI included, something the Wyze device doesn’t have.
Both devices give you a high-tech way to measure your well-being and make lifestyle changes. However, the Withings Body Scan 2 approach incorporates more future-vision features, so it might be something to consider if you want to adjust your lifestyle now to benefit your future self.
Withings says Body Scan 2 will launch in the second quarter of 2026 and will be available on the Withings website, Amazon, and at “select retailers.” We’ll have to see how it stacks up against the competition when it launches and if it has what it takes to top the smart scale charts.
