- JLab JBuds Mini ANC earbuds to launch with Apple Find My support
- They are the “world’s smallest” ANC headphones and come with a keychain.
- They will be released in August 2026 for $39.99.
JLab makes some of the best budget headphones and is pretty much the only brand we recommend if you’re spending under $30. The brand recently announced that it will be launching a new pair of its small “mini” keychain wireless headphones, this time with active noise cancellation.
But JLab has confirmed that they will be even better than initially announced when they launch in August 2026 for just $39.99 (around £39 / AU$80), thanks to support for Apple’s Find My Location technology, making them an even smarter option to attach to your keys.
I already had the opportunity to try the JLab JBuds Mini ANC and they are astoundingly good considering the price (and based on JLab’s history, they will drop below that level regularly) and that they are actually small enough to be on your keychain (even with a loop just for that purpose).
I said in that article that “I think everyone should have a set on their keychain,” simply because of how useful it is to know you’ll always have good headphones with you. Adding Find My support means that for Apple users, they’ll work a bit like AirTags and headphones, so they can help you find lost keys from the built-in Find My app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other devices.
Like an AirTag, lost for the last time
Just like an AirTag, or like AirPods, which also have Find My built in, the JBuds Mini ANC maintain a very low-power connection with your phone even when not in use. If you leave them somewhere and break that connection, your phone will note your GPS location when you were last connected to them, so you can retrace your steps.
Even more than that, Find My items can also connect to anyone’s Apple device and report its location to your phone remotely, so if you lose them and someone walks within wireless range, you’ll know roughly where your JBuds Mini ANC (and, by extension, your keys) are.
And if you know you’re close to them but can’t see them, you can use the Find My app to tell the headphones to make a noise, so you can focus on them.
The main thing missing here compared to an AirTag or AirPods Pro 3 is that there is no UWB precision tracking support – this is a technology that allows your iPhone to literally point an arrow at these devices if you are close enough.
I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet – the feature wasn’t enabled on the initial JBuds Mini ANC sample I tested and is still being certified by Apple – but these will be one of the first sets of non-Apple earbuds to include Find My support, and these budget keychain-compatible earbuds look like the perfect initial showcase.
