The Essential 3 Camera series includes two interior cameras and three climate -resistant outdoor cameras, with wired and wireless versions. All are available to pre-order now, for shipping on October 1.
The Essential 3 Outdoor Pan Tilt Zoom is a wiring camera with a field of vision of 130 degrees, and can work and lean to follow the subjects without blind points. Prices begin at £ 129.99 for a single 2K resolution chamber. The essential arlo 3 Indoor Pan Tilt Zoom has very similar characteristics, and “will separate” when it is disarmed to protect its privacy. It costs £ 89.99 for a camera, or £ 129.99 for two.
There is also the essential 3 wireless outdoor with siren and attention, which begins in £ 99.99, and the 3rd 3rd in the outdoor XL with extended battery duration, starting in £ 169.99 for a package of two. Finally, there is the Wired Essential 3 Interior, with a physical privacy shield that is involved when the camera is unarmed. This costs £ 79.99 for one, or £ 99.99 for a twin package.
All are compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Homekit, Google Home, Samsung Smartthings and Ifttt, but do not matter at the time of writing.
Subscription plans
This initial cost is quite low for a domestic security chamber, but keep in mind that you will also need a safe subscription to unlock the functions of AI.
In the United Kingdom, there are three levels of subscription: Safe Single Chamber, Multiple Multiple Chamber and Early Alert System. The three will store their videos in the cloud, detect people, animals, vehicles and packages, and provide a replacement chamber if they are stolen, but only the upper level will identify specific people and cars and alert it to the fires. The Arlo Secure early alert system costs £ 16.99 per month or £ 169.90 per year,
If you are looking for a security camera without additional rates, take a look at my guide to the best home security cameras without subscription. None of these offer the same package of functions with AI as the new Arlo cams, but everyone can store their locally video clips and have no key features hidden behind a payment wall.
