Soundpeats has announced a new set of headphones and we’re all ears: the Soundpeats H3 headphones recently surprised us with their sound quality and value for money, and the new Clip1 headphones are even more affordable. There’s also a limited-time launch offer which makes them even cheaper and means it may not be worth waiting for the Black Friday deals if this is the type of headset you’re looking for.
You can get Soundpeats Clip1 for $48.99 on Amazon US (full price is $69.99) by using a 20% on-page coupon and then code SPCP1NEWS at checkout for an extra 10% off. In the UK, you can get the Clip1 for £54.71 on Amazon UK (full price £74.99) using a coupon and code. Amazon United States.
The Soundpeats Clip1 are open-back headphones with the familiar dumbbell-shaped ear hooks of clip-style headphones. Inside each bud is a large dual-magnet 12mm dynamic driver and enough battery for 8 hours of playback, which can be increased to 40 hours via the charging case.
They are IPX5 rated for water and sweat resistance, which, combined with the situational awareness you get with open-back headphones, makes them a good choice for running and other outdoor activities.
Soundpeats Clip1: Key Features and Pricing
Soundpeats Clip1 supports LDAC and Dolby Audio, and is Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified. Bluetooth is 5.4 and they feature auto-detect, so it doesn’t matter which ear you put them in – they know where they are and change the stereo accordingly.
The Clip1 features a patented C-shaped chamber designed to reduce wind noise, and it also features AI-based ambient sound cancellation for calls, to keep your voice clear (but to be clear, there’s no active noise cancellation for general listening).
There are three-zone touch controls and the obligatory phone app, and the headphones feature two-device pairing and a low-latency gaming mode that’s also useful for video.
Could these be our new pick for the best budget option among the best open-back headphones? I wouldn’t put it past Soundpeats at all; however, we are in the middle of a complete review right now.
If you love the price and just want to take advantage of it given the introductory discount, that’s understandable too.
The official price for the Clip1 is $69.99 in the US and £75 in the UK, but there’s a double launch discount that drops the price considerably: Amazon is currently offering a 20% discount on Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon Australia, and Amazon Canada, and if you then enter the code SPCP1NEWS you can get an extra 10% off. It’s like Black Friday, except today is Wednesday.
