- The Startup of the United Kingdom Somni claims to have invented the first “headphones of transmission without battery of the world to sleep”
- Headphones are small and wireless, made to be comfortable to use in any sleeping position
- According to Somnibuds, these sleeppatches never need to be accused, but some things still are clear
A new British company claims to have found the perfect solution for many problems to sleep. Whether it fights with insomnia or that you need some white noise to reconcile sleep, these new headphones could help.
Somnibuds They are flat and small headphones that are made to use while they sleep. Thanks to their unusual form, they are apparently optimized for each sleeping position. And although they are completely wireless, Somnibuds also states that he will never have to get out of his way to recharge them.
So are these outbreaks of sleep as a new strong alternative to the tastes of The Loop Dream, and how do they work? Here is everything we know so far.
What are somnibuds and how do they work?
Somnibuds is transmitting headphones to sleep, made by the Startup of the United Kingdom Somni. They are not the only headphones or plugs for sleeping ears, alternatives, such as Bose Sleep -Buds IIThey have been around a while, along with newer contenders such as the aforementioned loop. However, Somni states that his new outbreaks have some things that the competition does not offer.
The most outstanding feature is the fact that these headphones do not have drums. They are also wireless, which could be a confusing combination. How can the hardware without battery be recharged and yet you never need to be recharged?
It is true that the technical details are still quite scarce here, but Somni states that he will not need to use a load box or a similar device. Instead, it will place the Somnimat, which is a load carpet made specifically for these headphones, under its pillow or their mattress. While you sleep, the headphones will connect wirelessly to the load carpet, which will allow them to run all night.
On paper, this sounds fantastic. However, it is not clear how reliable the connection between the mat and the headphones will be. Will this load style work in each sleep position? What happens if you surround yourself on the other side of the bed? Those are some of the things we hope to explore during some listening in person, but the signs of our friends in Schiplist (who have been testing a couple) are very promising.
Somnibuds are thin 3 mm and have a flat and discreet design that seems to be comfortable to sleep, at least as comfortable as sleeping with something in the ears. Startup states that headphones are a quarter of traditional bluetooth sleep beverage.
Somnibuds will not require an application to use and can be combined with any type of audio, including spotify, podcasts, movies and white noise applications.
How can you try somnibuds?
So how can you try them? This is where more questions begin to emerge. Headphones are not yet available for sale, but we do know some things about what awaits them this year.
Somni promises that Somnibuds will be available through Kickstarter to “end of summer”, so we cannot have too much time to wait now.
However, if you are really excited about this, you can pay $ 1 to get a 33% discount you can use when you leave. You just need Reserve a placeAlthough Somni says that only 300 early sponsors can register.
Somnibuds (presumably complete with the load carpet) will have a price of $ 229 / £ 224 (around AU $ 465) without the discount, and $ 199 / £ 149 (around AU $ 310) with 33% discount. The first sponsors will also receive an additional torque.
As with any Kickstarter or Crowdfunded project, all usual warnings are applied and it is important to be cautious. We have no guarantee that these headphones reach the market, and it is not clear when they will be completely available for sale.
However, if you are struggling for Shuteye and you are looking for some headphones specifically designed for sleep, they could be a new contender to take into account, particularly if those charging free statements are maintained during the use of the real world.
