- A Minecraft movieThe director has defended his images in the midst of fierce fans of fans
- People have reacted negatively to the art style of the film in several trailers
- Jared HESS said that test detection audiences responded more positively to how it looks
Jared HESS has launched a firm defense of A Minecraft movieThe images after the fierce critic of fans of his art style.
Speaking exclusively with Techradar, HESS admitted that he was always worried that the hybrid film animated by live action ran the risk of having his own “Sonic A ugly moment.”
The incident to which it refers, of course, is the revelation of nightmare fuel of a Humanoid -looking Sonic, the hedgehog in the first trailer of the first movie of the SEGA pet. He followed a vociferous reaction, and after Paramount Pictures he watched meaning and ran frantically to fix how Sonic looked in his big screen, Blue Blur fans were much happier with the final product.
After launching A Minecraft movieThe first teaser in September 2024, an equally fierce fierce fierce campaign to review the horrible images of the Warner Bros movie, quickly won online traction.
In fact, some very time fans of the world’s best -selling video game were responsible for fixing their art style. Numerous videos made by fans, including those of the X/Twitter user, aluminitor and Redditor Justinisnotweird, redo the teaser with the art of the franchise pixels.
Unfortunately, Minecraft fans calls to adjust the real aesthetics of the film fell on deaf ears. Now, HESS explained why A Minecraft movieThe images were not reviewed in the seven months between the first trailer launch and one of the new films of 2025, the next launch of April 4.
“You know, it’s a lot of fun because, since I approached this project, people kept saying: ‘Hey, we have to avoid an ugly sonic moment,” HESS told me. “That was something we talked about all the time.
“And then, you know, when the first teaser came out, there were so many things that were taken out of context. Teasers tend to be short and exploit it visually with content that does not have much context.”
People continued to say ‘Hey, we have to avoid a feeling ugly moment’
Jared HESS, Minecraft film director
“For registration, there were many things [in the teaser] That was unfinished, “HESS continued.” Many trailers look like a film that has not been fully made. You still have months of work to do in it, so, when those reactions entered, we said ‘oh, that [the backlash] It’s something we have to navigate. “
“But, we had as much faith in the movie we were doing. We began to project it and, according to the reactions of the audience, we knew we were on the right path. It is wild to be a filmmaker as, even when you are testing the detection, you still have unfinished visual effects, so you are asking the audience to use their imagination as they look at it.”
“Then, it is surprising to see it once it is finally complete and see all the hard work that has gone to everything and to give life to this world. To be able to share it with people, and see them enjoy it and spend a wonder. It is a dream come true for any filmmaker.”
