- The Ge Smart Grind & Brew profile is a drip coffee maker with an AI assistant
- The wizard can adjust the configuration of beer production based on the questions it makes
- It is available to buy at Amazon for $ 379 (around £ 300 / au $ 600)
How intelligent can a filter coffee machine really be? In fact very intelligent, it turns out. The GE profile (the Division of the GE Division) has just launched Smart Grind & Brew, a drip machine used by Google Cloud AI to help you prepare the perfect cup every morning.
The GE Smart Grind & Brew profile is a thin machine with a built -in conical bundle grinder, which means that you can enjoy a freshly terrestrial coffee without investing (and finding space for) two appliances. It also minimizes the potential disorder because ground coffee falls directly into the beer basket in the right dose, without regret or transfer.
The machine also has a built -in water filter, so you can use water directly from the tap without affecting the taste of your drink and helps you get a more consistent flavor.
Another particularly pleasant feature is the inclusion of a removable elaboration support (the part that supports the jug or cup) so that the machine can dispense coffee directly into a travel cup. Combined with the built -in timer, this would facilitate having fresh filter coffee to work, minimizing the risk of collapsing temptation and buying coffee to wear on the way.
However, what really causes Smart Grind & Brew to be different from the best drip coffee growers we have tried is the Smarthq AI coffee assistant, which will be deployed in the machine with a software update very soon.
This allows you to control the machine remotely using the SMARTHQ SMART Home application and have an “conversational experience” with the assistant. It also allows you to create custom profiles, receive real -time elaboration comments and “is equipped with intuitive learning that automatically adjusts the elaboration of beer based on the questions asked.”
SMARTHQ will also allow you to add your coffee maker to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home Smart Hub, so you can operate it with voice controls.
Until now, so intelligent
Everything sounds very impressive, and the GE Smart Grind & Brew profile is available to buy from Amazon for $ 379 (around £ 300 / au $ 600), which seems to be typical for a connected drip coffee machine.
Is there a capture? Well, although it has an isolated jug, the GE profile does not mention that the machine has a hot plate to keep the coffee made hot until it is ready for its next cup. That is the same problem that I found with another high -tech dripping machine that I tried recently: the drip coffee maker Aiden Precision. Although AIDEN could prepare an excellent drink, its double wall isolated jug did not keep it hot enough without a heat source underneath.
Hopefully this is not a big problem with Smart Grind & Brew, which (unlike AIDEN) is able to dispense coffee in other containers, such as an isolated bottle, which will keep it at a longer drinking temperature.
