- Belkin’s new power bank combines specifications and designs perfectly.
- It can attach magnetically to an iPhone and offer wireless or wired charging.
- It is modeled after a disposable camera and can act as a shutter button.
What’s better than a regular MagSafe-enabled power bank that plugs into the back of your phone? Well, the answer is obviously one that comes in fun colors, has a built-in cable and It looks like a classic point and shoot.
Luckily, Belkin just announced the Stage PowerGrip at CES 2025, which offers all that and a little more. It will be released next May for a price yet to be revealed. But considering it will drop before summer begins in the United States and right before graduation, I wouldn’t be surprised to find this on wish lists.
The Stage PowerGrip will be available in five colors (light blue, lavender, sandy, pepper and fresh yellow) and will attach to the back of an iPhone 12 or later thanks to the integrated MagSafe-compatible ring. Once placed on the back, it will act as a stand, allowing you to leave the iPhone in a vertical or horizontal position.

Considering it’s modeled after a classic point-and-shoot camera or even a disposable one, you can also use it to hold your phone horizontally and take pictures. The place that traditionally shows how many shots are left on a camera is replaced here with an LED display to show how much battery is left. Belkin included a sizeable 10,000 mAh cell inside, which should be enough to charge an iPhone at least one and a half times. There’s even a built-in button that, when paired with an iPhone, will allow it to act as a shutter.
Now when connected wirelessly to the back, it will max out at 7.5 watts for charging. However, thanks to the integrated USB-C cable, which automatically retracts and stows away neatly, you can get faster charging by connecting it to your phone. Alternatively, you can also use that cable to power another device, be it a phone, headphones, or even another battery.
There’s also a single USB-C port built into the right side of the Stage PowerGrip to easily recharge the power bank or power another device, as long as you bring the cable.
So while Belkin’s Stage PowerGrip will likely cost more than a standard MagSafe-enabled phone bank, you’re getting a bit more functionality in an incredibly aesthetically pleasing package. I hope to spend a little more time with it once I can get down to business and eventually try it out. We’ll also have to wait for our TechRadar Best of CES Awards 2025 to know for sure if the Stage PowerGrip is the best.
If you’re looking for a more traditional power bank, Belkin’s latest BoostCharge Power Bank 20K will be available in April for $49.95 in four colors (blue, pink, black, or white). The integrated cable can deliver up to 30 watts to quickly charge a device like an iPhone. In fact, Belkin promises that it can charge an iPhone 16 Pro from 0% to 50% in just 25 minutes.
