The waiting of a successor of the Gopro Max has been long, the 360 degree camera launched in 2019, but a new leak gives us more evidence that a successor is finally about to be introduced.
As seen by Notebookck and a thread in Reddit, a prototype for the Gopro Max 2 has appeared in a Chinese market. One of the main gifts that it is a prototype is that it does not have a screen, what the real model will do.
We take a look at the folding assembly system of the fingers that is present in other recent Gopro chambers, and in some of the internal components: the size of heat dissipators suggests that this is a camera that could work quite hot.
The leak also takes a good look at the size and position of one of the front cameras. We will have to wait and see how the quality of the image and the video against the Insta360 x5 and the next DJI Osmo 360 is maintained.
A long time
Given that this is clearly a prototype of GoPro Max 2, we are somewhat limited in terms of what we can remove about the final version of the next camera, but it is still an interesting leak that reveals something that Google has been working.
Our hopes were raised with an official trailer of Gopro Max 2 at the beginning of the month, but we have not heard anything from GoPro from this camera. Presumably, a complete presentation cannot be too far now.
We obtained some adjustments for the original GoPro Max in February, but not the complete update we have been waiting for. Gopro has registered, saying that there have been delays in production over the years, going back the launch of GoPro Max 2 more and more.
Hopefully there is not much longer to wait for much more, and we would expect the 360 degree camera to enter our list of the best goopros. As soon as GoPro says something more officially, of course, we will let him know.
