Pakistan general secretary Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Salman, Akram Raja, transmitted a message from Imran Khan to Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, urging him to join the forces with PTI and emphasize, “now is the time for you to support us for us for us.”
During a press conference in Islamabad a day before, Raja expressed concern that many young people were losing faith in the future of the country and looking for better opportunities abroad. Reaffirming Khan’s message, he said: “This is the time that Maulana Fazlur Rehman joins us in this fight.”
He transmitted a message from the founder of PTI to the Chief of Jui-F, stating that Khan has said: “Tell Mauna Fazlur Rehman that this is the time for you to support us.
After Khan’s message, PTI has renewed efforts to build ties with Jui-F. The sources indicated that Raja communicated with Jui-F leadership to start discussions and requested a meeting. Jui-F’s leadership informed PTI that Rehman was abroad for Umrah, but agreed to meet his return.
