- We have more details about the launch of UI 7
- The update of the Galaxy S23 should appear around April 17
- The dates can vary according to their location
Until now it has been a riddle game about when an UI 7 (Samsung version of Android 15) would reach Galaxy devices beyond the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, but Samsung has now given us some clarity on the matter.
The last thing we hear, an UI 7 had to start on Monday, April 7, with Samsung Galaxy S24, plus the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, all the first online (those were the flagship phones that Samsung launched in 2024).
Now, courtesy of Samsung Chechia (through Sammobile), it seems that we can expect the software update to appear in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe, Samsung Galaxy S23 phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 on Thursday, April 17.
The press release (made through Google Translate) also says that the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S22 series will obtain an UI 7 in the “next weeks”, while the deployment of the Galaxy Tab S10 series is due to “MID-ABRIL”, with the updates of Galaxy Tab S9 that appear a week later. Galaxy Tab S8 devices should start watching the software at the end of April.
A long time
Here are some warnings to take into account: the update in the Czech Republic does not really begin until Thursday, April 10, so other deployment dates worldwide could vary. In addition, for what we can say, Samsung’s press releases from their other international news rooms are not so specific when it comes to dates.
Even so, it gives us a more specific idea of when these software updates will begin to appear, and it would be unusual for Samsung to present the updates of these older devices in the Czech Republic and nowhere else.
It has been a great trip to reach this point, with many delays and beta launches on the road, and it is a reminder that if you want android updates before someone else, you need one of the best Pixel phones: the pixels 9 phones obtained Android 15 in October 2024.
Among the new features in One UI 7 are the bar now, to bring important real -time updates to the blocking screen, and the now brief, a summary of AI of its day, although Samsung has not confirmed whether all the features of UI 7 will reach all devices.
