Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd gen): key features and prices
One of the most significant changes is that Xiaomi has changed operating systems: where the original TV stick was executed on Android TV, it has Google TV. That means a more modern and optimized interface and better recommendations in the various transmission services it uses.
The new second -generation TV Stick now admits HDR10+, as well as the dolby vision of the previous model. And there has been a similar audio update with the addition of DTS: X Support along with the existing Dolby Atmos support.
The Wi-Fi is now Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth is the same 5.2 as before. And the remote control has been slightly redesigned with a new button for the free television service of Xiaomi.
What we still do not know is what will cost when it is officially launched, or when that launch will be. Android Authority has seen it in Aliexpress, where it is offered with a discount of $ 86 that falls the price to around $ 49 (around £ 36 ex iva).
The first generation TV Stick 4K currently costs $ 56.99 on Amazon US and £ 49.99 on Amazon UK.
