- New photos show fictitious units of the four expected models of iPhone 17 in two different colors
- You can see how thin the iphone 17 air can be compared with the other models
- Online reactions to designs are largely negative
It seems that we are obtaining a new and better view of the probable design of the iPhone 17 series almost every day, and the latest photos that feed the rumors show fictitious units of the four models, side by side.
Shared by @sonnyDickson (through Gsmarena), these images claim to show the next Apple phones in black and white tones, and in both cases, their rear panels are of one color, instead of two -shades design that early leaks suggested that the iPhone 17 could have.
It is more likely that this unique appearance is accurate according to recent leaks, but in any case, the large redesigned camera blocks that you can see below will surely appear on finished phones, since all leaks seem to agree on their inclusion.

You can also see how thin it is likely to be the air of the iPhone 17 in some of these images, and seems substantially thinner than the rest of these fictitious units of the iPhone 17 series.
Of course, as always, it is worth taking these images with a pinch of salt. Although fictitious units can be developed according to the official Apple information, they may be believed simply based on rumors about the design of these phones. Even so, they coincide with numerous previous leaks, so we hope they are something precise.
Causing a bad impression
In which case, it will be interesting to see how popular, or not, the iPhone 17 series is at its launch at the end of this year, because the reactions to these images are mixed in the best case. In Reddit, these designs have been described as a “monstrosity”, “so bad” and “so ugly”, among other things.
Not all comments are so negative, but there seems to be little on the path of truly positive reactions.
However, perceptions are likely to change. On the one hand, even if these fictitious units are widely precise, finished phones will surely be more polished. And for another, people will probably get used to changes over time, just as they got used to notch when it was introduced into the iPhone X in 2017, and the stem on Airpods.
Then, within a year, most people will probably get used to this new iPhone aspect, and the next time Apple redesign the iPhone, it is likely that you listen to people who wish to stay like this.
