Three personnel of the Department of Contrarorism (CTD) were martyred and another five injured in two separated terrorist incidents in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday night, the authorities confirmed.
In the Bannu Domel area, the gunmen attacked the personnel of the Terrorism Department (CTD) on the company of the company, the martyr of three and hurting two officers, said Express News.
Three civilians were also injured during crossfire, police officers said.
The injured and deceased were transferred to a nearby hospital, while the additional police and armored vehicles were deployed in the area in response.
The Regional Police officer Sajad Khan and the police officer of the Salem Abbas Kalachi district visited the injured officers and expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased.
In a separate incident on Swabi, unidentified assailants opened fire against the police control point within the limits of the Swabi Police Station. No victims were reported.
The police officer of the Swabi Muhammad Azhar Khan said that the attackers fled under the cover of the dark to the nearby wooded areas after the police returned the fire.
He added a search and strike operation in the area, and security has been clenched, he added.
