Dera Bugti:
At least three people died and four other wounds seriously injured in two separate explosions of land mines on Wednesday in the Sui area of the District of Bugti in Baluchistan.
The first explosion occurred around 7 am in the town of Saghari. A woman, her 8 -year -old daughter and a local resident, Ghulam Nabi, were killed instantly when they left her house. The eyewitness said that the explosion was so severe that the bodies of the victims were unrecognizable.
The second explosion took place in the Yaru border area, where two men, a woman and her 10 -year -old son suffered wounds. Levies’s staff ran to the site and transported the injured to the Civil Hospital of Bugti. Later, doctors described the condition of two victims as criticism.
Residents told Express News that no military activity had occurred in the vicinity, which suggests that land mines had been deliberately planted to attack farmers and civilians. “Terrestrial mines have become a daily threat in our area. We are afraid to let our children go home,” said a local resident.
Levies and Frontier Corps staff cordoned off the explosion sites and launched a search operation. The authorities confirmed that a team of experts had been called to evaluate the nature of the explosives. District officials announced an investigation into the incident. No group has assumed responsibility for explosions.
