Collision with truck caused death and a family member was injured
Three people, husband, wife and their son, died in a road accident on the M9 highway near Karachi. The family, traveling from Hyderabad to Karachi, collided with a stationary truck after the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.

The accident occurred near Nagori Kanta in Gadap town, when a car collided with a stationary truck. Three family members died instantly: Ashkok, 55, his wife Seeta, 50, and their son Sahil, 22. Another son, Sanjay, was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Motorway police and the Rescue 1122 highway team responded quickly. The injured son was given immediate treatment before being shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Police said the driver told his father he was sleepy but continued driving. Investigators believe the accident occurred when the driver lost control after falling asleep.
SHO Gadap City, Sarfraz Jatoi, said the family was a resident of Islamkot, Tharparkar district, and was traveling to a wedding in Bahadurabad area of Karachi. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
Motorway police have confirmed that driver fatigue was the main cause of the accident and investigations are ongoing.
