Peshawar: four people, including three police officers, were martyred, and three other wounds in separate weapons attacks in police stations in the early hours of Sunday, the control points and a sui gas installation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a wave of terrorism wrap the country.
Police said a policeman was martyred when armed men attacked the Pajjagi police post in Peshawar. Police responded with shots, forcing the attackers to flee and launched a search operation in the area to locate the assailants.
Meanwhile, in Karak, the militants launched coordinated attacks against the Takht-E-N-Nati and Than Khurram police station using heavy armament. The district police officer (DPO) Shehbaz Ilahi said the police successfully repelled both attacks.
However, an officer was martyred in the first attack. Police retaliation forced the attackers to escape, he added.
In Bannu, the terrorists tried to attack the control point of the Spinah Tangi police. Security staff responded with shots, forcing the attackers to flee. No victims were reported.
In addition, some militants attacked the control point of the Nasran police in the jurisdiction of the Gul Imam Police Station in Tank, wounding two police. Separately, a retired police officer was under a fatal attack of weapons in the Dabkot area in southern Waziristan.
In a separate incident in Karak, the militants attacked a sui gas installation in Karak. A security guard was martyred, and another was injured. The attackers managed to flee after the assault.
Dpo Ilahi then confirmed that the shot in both stations and the gas office had ceased.
Previously, the Police reported attacks on six police and post -leader stations in Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Tank in the early hours of Saturday. The authorities said no victims were reported, since the police were alert and rejected all the attacks with the support of the local people.
The attacks are carried out in the continuation of the greatest militant activities in the country, especially in KP and Baluchistan, the provinces that occur Afghanistan governed by the Taliban.
