Three rare blackbucks stolen from Jhang Wildlife Park

LAHORE:

Three rare feminine views of the Jhang Wildlife Park were stolen during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, which caused concerns about the security and management of the park. An investigation committee of two members has been constituted by order of the Director General of Wildlife to investigate the incident. A FIR has also been registered regarding theft.

According to the information received by the Express PAkGazette, the theft was discovered the next morning when the staff entered the Blackbuck enclosure to provide food and noticed that the animals were missing.

The headquarters of the Deputy Wildlife Ranger confirmed that departmental investigation is being carried out under the supervision of Dr. Misbah Sarwar, an official woman in the department. The two -member committee is expected to present its report within three days.

“The culprits involved in theft will be strictly treated under the law,” said the official. “The departmental measures will also be taken against the personnel declared guilty of negligence.”

It has also emerged that Jhang Wildlife Park’s superior staff is currently far for official training. In his absence, the personnel recruited under the green Pakistan program had been assigned. However, his contracts expired on June 30, which raised more concerns about the administration and supervision in the park during the time of the incident.

Wildlife officials declared that the park was home to a total of seven Blackbuck, of which three female animals have been reported as missing. The minimum market value of a single Blackbuck is estimated at RS. 200,000.

However, the sources said that four animals were supposedly stolen, a man and three females, although the officials argue that only three females were taken.
