:A speeding car overturned near Stargate in Shahrah-e-Faisal, killing three women and injuring a youth, police said.
According to initial reports, the driver of a high-speed vehicle, with license plate number BGQ-469, lost control of the wheel near Stargate, as a result of which the vehicle collided with the sidewalk and overturned. The accident took place on Sunday morning and the four occupants of the vehicle, three women and a man, suffered serious injuries.
Police officials said the accident appeared to have occurred due to high speed and reckless driving. “The car was traveling at high speed when its driver lost control. One woman died on the spot, while the other two women and the man were seriously injured,” said airport police section officer Rehan Zeb.

The victims of the accident were rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where two more women succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The deceased were identified as Asma, 50, wife of Ghulam Tariq, her daughter Muntaha, 19, and her niece Faryal Shayan, 22. The injured man, Owais, is a relative of the deceased women, all residents of the Liaquat market area of Malir,” said Rehan Zeb. He added that the group was traveling from Drigh Road towards Malir when the car hit the curb and overturned, landing on the opposite side of the road. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the accident.
The police handed over the bodies of the deceased to their relatives after completing the legal formalities. However, an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, officials said.
