- Thrustmaster has announced the Sol-R flight of flight sticks
- They are designed with space sims such as Elite Dangerous in mind
- Early orders are now available before the launch of April 16, 2025
Thrustmaster, a game manufacturer that specializes in flight bars, racing wheels and all kinds of gender -specific controllers, has just announced a set of sticks designed for space flight sim titles such as Dangerous elite.
The Trustmaster Sol-R 1 Flightstick and the Sol-R 2 Hosas Sim duo will be launched on April 16, 2025 and the early orders are now available through the brand’s website. The Sun-R 1 is sold for $ 219.99 / £ 159.99. Meanwhile, Hosas Sol-R 2 is a more robust package, which contains two flight stick modules for $ 399.99 / £ 299.99.
The Sol-R range consists of a flight bar and a base for which it is placed. The base has two dials on each side, as well as a set of buttons and switches that collectively allow a total of 44 programmable actions.
The stick looks incredibly ergonomic, with a rest hand and a thumb grip. Up, you will find two four -road hat switches, a small thumb, two buttons and a thumb sphere. There are also a couple of triggers at the bottom, presumably used to exploit space bandits next week. The ergonomic rests can also exchange sides, which makes the sun-R accessible to right and left-handed people.
Crucially, Sol-R uses the Hall Hall effect technology of TusPermaster, which in these days is essential to provide durable controllers that do not succumb to the dreaded stick drift.
Finally, for those who like to add some style to their SMAP SIM sessions, the Sol-R base and the stick have a combined 11 customizable RGB lighting zones. That will allow you to change the lighting color of certain buttons to facilitate visibility. Or alternately, you can go crazy with a multicolored configuration for additional style points.
Will the Thrustmaster sun-r range land on our list of the best PC controllers? That remains to be seen. But at a glance, it looks like a high quality package that is suitable for beginners and space enthusiasts.
