- Thrustmaster has revealed the T248R racing wheel for PS5, PS4 and PC
- It will have adjustable force feedback and a customizable LCD screen
- Its included pedals also work with the brand’s heart technology
The Game Hardware manufacturer, Thrustmaster, has revealed the T248R racing wheel. A successor of the Thrustmaster T248, this new wheel will be compatible with PS5, PS4 and PC.
The early orders begin today on the Thrustmaster website, with the wheel that costs $ 349.99 / £ 269.99. Then it will be launched a couple of weeks later, on September 17, 2025. That is cheaper than the similar average range wheels such as the Logitech G923 ($ 399.99 / £ 349.99) and the predecessor T248 (which was launched to $ 399.99 / £ 299.99).
Perhaps the most prominent characteristic of Thrustmaster T248r is its adjustable force feedback. Thrustmaster describes these as levels of ‘impulse’, and each offers various degrees of intensity. This could be useful if you want a smoother experience for circuit runners such as Gran Turismo 7, or a more rugged trip to, for example, EA Sports WRC.
Here an updated LCD screen is also presented, and that is where you can adjust the aforementioned force feedback configuration, as well as see real -time race information, such as times back and current speed. The screen also seems to be quite customizable, with Thrustmaster that indicates that 20 bits of visualization information that can presumably be bike.
The T248R also comes with a set of pedals; The T-3pm pedal set. These work with Thrustmaster Heart Hall effect technology, which means they will have a contactless connection that should avoid any uncomfortable drift or wear of internal components. Brake resistance can also be adjusted here to your comfort.
It remains to be seen if the T248R will land or not in our best guide of PS5 racing wheels, but Tushmaster has a strong history when it comes to the best racing wheels. As such, this could be a solid average range option that at least slightly undermines competition in terms of prices.
