Shai Gilgous-Alexander is likely to continue enjoying the glory of winning his first NBA championship, but Oklahoma City Thunder now has another reason to smile.
Gilgous-Alexander and El Thunder reached an agreement on an area of super maximum contract of four years, Espn reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, the four-year-old agreement has a total value of $ 285 million and contractually links the MVP of the League prevailing with the Thunder until the 2030-31 season. The extension will also pay Gilgeous-Alexander the highest annual salary than any NBA player has received.

The Thunder capitalized the journey of the accumulated franchise in an exchange that sent Paul George to Los Angeles in exchange for Gilgeous-Alexander. Jalen Williams was one of the players Oklahoma City wrote due to the successful transaction.

In addition to the MVP and the MVP of the NBA finals, Gilgous-Alexander won the league score title to complete the triple crown.
The victory of the NBA finals of 2025 is the first title of Thunder in Oklahoma City. The franchise won the 1979 NBA title when it was known as Seattle Supersonics. The team moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.
